Ways to Monetize Your Blog

Blogging has become extremely popular in recent years with everyone from internet marketers who use them to make money, right through to people who just want to share their experiences with the world via heir own blog. From an IM perspective, blogs can be a complete money making system in their own right and they are great for promoting your products and services whilst building relationships with your prospects and customers. Once you have built your blog it’s time to get it making some money. Here are 4 easy ways to monetize your blog:

Google Adsense

Place Adense text ads on your blog (for example in the side bar) and every time someone clicks on one of the links you will get paid a small amount of money. This has to be one of the easiest ways of monetizing your blog and whilst you don’t make much for each click, if you’ve got lots of traffic and many different blogs it can quickly start to add up.

Promote Your Own Products

Blogs are a great way to promote your own products. You can either do it with banner ads or by mentioning and linking to your websites within your posts. Of course this also extends to products which you are an affiliate of.

Sell Adspace

If you can get to the point where your blog becomes popular and is getting a good amount of traffic then you could sell adspace to other marketers. For a fee people could place banner ads in your sidebar or at the bottom of your posts. Another option is to let people write guest posts where they can advertise their products within the post.

Write Review Posts

This links back to affiliate marketing. Write a product review and give your honest opinion on it, then link back to the sales page within the post via your affiliate link. It’s also possible to base your whole blog around reviewing a particular product.
